Palmetto Bay Plantation is over 100 acres in size and is a location that will appeal to those who like to be surrounded flowers and nature. There is a very nice beach with a community pool, pier and restaurant for the enjoyment of the owners or renters. There is a boardwalk through the gardens and also the bird preserve where wild parrots nest. Margot, Brock and I lived in Palmetto for 3 years and really enjoyed it. It offers a quiet location but is only a 15-minute drive to the restaurants and shopping in French harbour or Sandy Bay. The beach homes are of post and beam construction and designed to take advantage of the breezes. They have lots of wood slated windows that open up completely and huge sliding doors on the front and sides of the great room. The design of the homes combines the outdoor gardens with the indoor living space. Palmetto has a solid rental program in place offering the owners worry free vacation home ownership.
